Profhilo® is here to stay!
Profhilo® has been a major game changer in the world of aesthetics for some time now. However, with the trending movement towards skin rejuvenation and subtle aesthetic treatments it is becoming by far one of the most popular and loved treatments on the market.
I am pleased to announce that I have attended training in profhilo® at the Harley Academy in London. Profhilo training is exclusively run in the UK by HA-Derma and now the Harley Academy. As part of my gold scholarship, it was important that I am able to perform this treatment with only the best possible training. It also means that I can now provide this treatment to all of my patients at Blackabey’s!
So what actually is Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is a one of a kind treatment, which involves the injection of hyaluronic acid just underneath the skin surface. It has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market and formula is unique only to profhilo®.
So what makes this treatment different to a dermal filler? Dermal filler also contains hyaluronic acid, however it is used purely to revolumise areas of volume loss seen as the face ages of to enhance a specific area as part of a beautification process. Profhilo®, has a far higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than dermal filler and by placing it in small quantities under the skin, has different benefits to your skin.
Once injected, Profhilo® works by stimulation of cells underneath the cells to regenerate and also increases the production of collagen and elastin. In doing so, it provides your skin with the boost it needs to maintain hydration, elasticity and firmness. It also helps to allow your own cells to tackle common signs of ageing such as sagging skin and wrinkles.
Profhilo® can be used on all age groups and all genders with excellent results. Furthermore, due to its diversity as a treatment it can be used on a wide range of body parts including the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, knees and the abdomen. It has especially been seen to be effective in treating scars such as C section, surgical scars and traumatic wound scars. It is also used in the treatment of cellulite and stretch marks.
